Glam Bag - September 2012 + Review

The September Glam Bag arrived slightly later  but still within the period of time that they promised. September 2012 bag was very awesome. I love it so much and it is one of my favourite bag. 

1) London SoHo New York Smudge Brush
- Love the brush. It is so soft and such a wonderful smudge brush. After using this brush i wanted to get the whole set but unfortunately, the Walmart in my area doesnt sell this brand. The price is not expensive either. It is about $5.79. I went on and search. Apparently, CVS, Target and Walgreen also carry London SoHo New York products.

2) Carols Daughter Monoi Repairing Split End Sealer
- This product is alright for me. I don't like the smell of the product. It does help to have a repairing the split end. Definitely a product you want to use to at least look healthy when you want to look fabulous.

3) Circus by Andreas Choice - Tightrope
- I am not a nail polish fans. I tried on this colour. It is matte but i dont like the texture of it. It is every watery and you need to put on a few more layers to have a sleek look. The plus side for this nail polish is that it dries really fast then other brands like Opi or Zoya.

4) Mirabella Eyeshadow in Semiformal
- This eyeshadow color is really pretty but i think it is really pricey. A palette is $10. So i am not sure this is worth it because you can get other brands with much cheaper price.

5) Jane Sparkle Gloss
-Not too bad. No weird smell, non sticky, and the color is just beautiful. On top of that this product is cheap. About $10 for a pack of 3. So, this is something i would consider to buy and use it especially i am on a budget now.

Elf Nail Polish Review (via Sircle Samples)

I am a big fans of ELF products. I think the quality is not bad and the price is cheap but i am not too keen about the nail polish that i received from Sircle Samples. I am glad to got that nail polish sample to try on before i proceed to actually buy it from the website.

These bright polishes are perfect to add a pop of color to your nails. The nutrient-rich polishes are a treat for your nails. Application is easy and quick drying to leave you with healthy, beautiful nails.

Review
Not really crazy with nail polish. It is not thick enough. I have to put in many layers to actually get it nice.

Recently ( about 2 months ago), i found this website called Sircle Samples. It is a website where you can shop for free samples after you complete a few tasks like answering survey, refer to friends, writing reviews and etc to collect coins where you later on will use it to shop for samples. Below are the samples i received through out the last 2 months.

Its not too bad as i did not pay single cents on these items that i received. Some of the products are actually good like Apothederm and Bring It Up. I will do product reviews on another post.

Glossybox - May 2012

This is my May Glossybox. For the price of $21 and the product for their first month, it was an ok bag for me. It was just an ok bag because  i dont expect a toothpaste in my box. On top of that, nail polish is not something i am crazy about but that's the whole idea.You subscribed to all these beauty box for the experience and trying out different things that you wouldn't think of trying.

Glam Bag - May 2012 + Review

Finally received my Glam Bag. To be honest, i am not too happy with the products i received but there is nothing much i can do about it. Just hope that next month will be better. 

This month's bag is with the lips/kiss theme. It is always fun to receive the bag. For me, i always believe that a girl can never be having too much bags. If i am not using it to store my stuff, i can always give it away. So, i will think of a way to utilize the bag.

The first item is this Nail Bling. Like i mentioned before in this blog, i am not a big fan of all this stick on nail blings. I still prefer the conventional way. Furthermore, i think this design is suitable for teenagers and tweens. So, i will definitely give this away to someone that can appreciate it.

The second item is this Studio Gear full size lipstick (Autumn Red). The actual color is very brownish. It was pretty hard for me to use it because i got a very fair complexion. So i am still figure out a way to make use the best i can with this lipstick. I am not sure whether this is me being paranoid but i kinda feel the lipstick smells old. Like those expire lipstick. On top of that, i dont think the color is suitable with the spring/summer season. I probably use it during autumn and Halloween or when i need a dramatic look.

The third item are this concealer and eyeliner brushes. For someone like me who jsut started the explore the beauty world, this definitely comes in handy. It is pretty soft and get the job done. The eyeliner brush that i received was not sharp enough hence it makes it difficult to use for that purpose. Instead of using it as an eyeliner brush, i use it for my lips. So, i dont think these brushes will go to waste.

And the last item for the month of May is this Philosophy "Love Sweet Love" perfume sample. In my opinion, this is not a deluxe size but i am not going sweat about it. The smell is really nice and sweet but that wont drive me to buy the product. This is because, i still prefer Fascinating by Salvatore Ferragamo.

Well, this month is just an OK bag for me. Just hope next month will be better. One can only hope for better :)

The Look Bag - May 2012

Look at what i got in my Look Bag this month? An FREAKING AWESOME May 2012 bag. I am not sure what happen to my bag but The Look Bag is kind enough to sent me the replacement bag. That's explained why i got the Revitalash Volumizing Mascara, the Rain Glam Lipstick and the Too Faced Sparkled lip gloss.

 Of course it came with a card describing everything in the bag.

 On top of that, they were kind enough to put in this card. I love this card as it got all the necessary information on different kind of flowers and their usage.

I generally not a nail polish person because i am suck at giving myself one and not interested in paying 

$20 for a manicure at the salon. Kiss Nail Dress have this wonderful product that all u need to do is to stick it on your nails and toes and shape it. That's all you  need to do. Sound simple huh! i guess it is a good idea because you won't get messy with nail polish and spending time drying it . This is just hassle free for you. They come in 18 different styles. All pretty cool and wacky. Like i said earlier, i am not a nail polish girl, hence this product is interesting to me. On top of that, they claimed, it will last for up to 10 days. Another a plus selling point for me. This definitely worth trying and for the price of $6.99, i think is a great deal

Influenster Love VoxBox

I received my very first Influenster Love VoxBox today. I am very excited to try all the products in my box and give my best honest reviews possible. As a start, these are some of the pictures that what i got from Love VoxBox.

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor $8.99-$10.99

I always eyeing for this razor whenever i go to CVS. Always wanted to try but always afraid it is not worth the money that i was about to pay. Since i got this from my Influenster Love VoxBox, the first thing i did was to hit the shower and start testing this product. It amazed me how this product works and towards the end of the shower, i basically have very smooth legs. On top of that, no shaving cream needed.                                                                                                                                                       My verdict: Definitely getting myself this the next time i go to CVS.

Stash Tea Herbal Tea Sampler $3.50

I am always a tea lover and this product is just nice for me especially at this cold winter in upstate NY. There's total 18 teabags in a box with 9 flavor to choose on. Acai Berry, Blueberry Superfruit, Chamomile, Cinnamon Apple Chamomile, Lemon Ginger, Licorice Spice, Mango Passionfruit, Peppermint, and Wild Raspberry Hibiscus. I think this is a good deal and will save me a couple of bucks because the price is right for me. On top of that, they have so many flavors for so many different purposes. As i am going to move from NY to California in 3 weeks time, i am very stress with all the packing and cleaning. When i woke up from my afternoon nap today, my tummy just bothering me. I immediately make myself a cup of tea - Lemon Ginger flavor. I kid you not, it does the trick, the tea actually did calm down my upset tummy. Lemon and Ginger always have that element  in calming down the upset tummy. So i cannot wait to try other flavors that will give me other types of benefit. The next time when my stress level hitting the roof, i will definitely try the Chamomile flavor because chamomile is well known for stress relieve.

My verdict: Love it, and will buy it.

Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion Bar $2.99

Another way to release stress is by having some chocolate. Yup, chocolate will do the trick. I dont like sweet stuff and always be very careful with the kind of chocolate i choose. I normally will go for Dark Chocolate. I am a little worried that i may not like this Ghirardelli Milk Creamy chocolate bar since i dont like sweet stuff. For me, this is a little sweet for me but not overpowering the flavor. It is nice and very smooth. It just melted in my mouth and it does makes me feel good.                                                         My verdict: Definitely will buy Ghirardelli chocolate because it is the best but not their milk chocolate because i dont like sweet stuff. I will buy their Dark Chocolate instead :)

Truvia Natural Sweetener $3.99(40ct)
Truvia was mentioned before in Dr. Oz. It was also recommended on his show as a replacement to sugar.(Definitely good for diabetes patients and weight watchers) I always wanted to try but i never buy it because i still got lots of regular sugar at home. Few days ago, i am out of sugar and i dont see the point buying more regular sugar since i am moving soon. I just want to save a couple of bucks. I thought, i will just use honey to replace sugar if i need any of it. I was cooking spicy shrimps today and the problem with this dish is that, it need at least 6 teaspoons of sugar as one of the ingredient. So, today is my chance to try out Truvia. To my surprise, all i need is about 2 and a half packet of Truvia to get the same kind of taste like i normally do. I was happy with my dish and it makes me feel good the fact that i am cutting my sugar intake at least 50% than usual.

My verdict: Definitely love this sweetener and worth buying. I guess this is my first step to healthy living without compromise the taste of my food when i am cooking !
